Hand in Hand

Goodness! Will you look at that...there we are, almost hand in hand - top centre and top right, rubbing up against each other (I'm not saying anything) in this beautiful treasury, Feel the Warmth of Giving, by mistflowerstudio. Thank you, Valerie xx

Front Page - and I missed it!

This treasury, by Olaladesign - aptly named Sleeping Beauty - was apparently on the front page of Etsy yesterday evening...and I missed it! I have to confess, I do love a bit of Celebrity Scissorhands.....
I really must get to work on some new products - then, if this happens again (fp), at least there will be something new in my shop to look at. I can't complain - I've been really busy - but the old fancypicnic wares definitely need an injection of newness. I just need to get today and the weekend over with, those orders completed, and my restless fingers can get cracking!

Crikey, Really?!

I've decided to break out of blog hibernation (half term holidays, etsy custom orders....and, sadly, the dreaded lurgy...) to show you this. Utilemud's treasury, which includes my Pomp and Ceremony wrist cuff, was on the Front Page of etsy this morning - that's so exciting for me! I'd like to thank all those lovely people who took time out of their busy day to let me know about it. Thanks so much!

Remember I Wrote About 'Blowing Your Own Trumpet'?!

Thank you to Heloise for screen grabbing this treasury for me whilst it posed beautifully on the front page at etsy! I can't quite believe my luck with these treasuries lately...
If anyone knows who curated this treasury, above, I'd love to find out.* I think there is a special little place, treasury heaven really, where fp's reside once they are spent. I read about it on a blog recently. I wish I knew where to look - after all, you're reading the words of someone who only discovered Treasury West a week or so ago...
This treasury, Surrounded...above, was curated by the lovely Valerie of mistflowerstudio. I love these rusts and greens - quite apt for this time of year!

I put these treasuries in to my blog not to shout 'look at me!!' (honestly!), but to show how unbelievable it is to find items you've never found before that are all similar in one way or another (usually the common thread is colour), waiting to be discovered...by me, by you, anyone! Such a hugely diverse range of products are out there, and I think I'm quite humbled whenever I discover that a product of mine is actually part of a curation. I love looking through the Treasury, and now that I've 'unlocked' Treasury West, well, the excitement simply increases!

* thanks to cookoorikoo, 'Been gone too long'.

Little Gems

Etsy treasury by mistflowerstudio, Flaunting Their Stuff
Etsy treasury by HotInjectionJewellery, Going Out After? Then try these on...

Such beautiful treasuries to find yourself in! I love mistflowerstudio's - the teal and dusky rose combination is a favourite of mine. Such a delicate and feminine colour palette. Thank you so much, Valerie, for making my Midsummer Collar (centre, top) feel right at home!

HotInjectionJewellery's curation is full of fabulous costume drama, wouldn't you say? Just as I discovered it over at Treasury West, it appeared on the Front Page at Etsy! Yay! My Enchanted Collar is nestled down in the bottom right corner - thank you, Holly!

(I'm in love with Ellita's fabulous stoles/collars...must go get one - but which?!)

With Elegance -

I was thrilled to find that Cathy's beautiful treasury 'POETRY for you secret love' features my D'Urbervilles Pendant. I think this is a beautiful collection - and it's unusual for me because most of my jewellery is quite busy and colourful, unlike this particular piece. This treasury selection makes it look quite elegant, doesn't it?
A beautiful collection of pieces, actually featuring a number of artists whose work I really like...materialised, Roadside, LittleRobot, NuitBlanche...beautiful Cathy, thank you xx

Hold the Front Page!

Look at this...! I rolled in after a busy day, had some time with my little ones and then flopped in front of this 'ole thing, tuning in to being a sensible businesswoman (?) for the evening. What's this? Umpteen messages in my inbox?? A sale or two?? Pardon?

The last couple of messages I read explained everything...now, I don't mean to blow my own trumpet here, although it's going to sound like it....but there I was, on the front page at etsy!! Chuffed? I'll say. Many, many thanks to mistflowerstudio for including my earrings amongst so many gorgeously vibrant items.

Popping in Quickly (to show you a few things)...

(Barnacle Beau's Treasury, Sugar Spoon - spotted 22nd August) - Midsummer Collar, top left.

(Caladonia March's Treaury, Not Just For Thanksgiving, spotted 22nd August) - Showtime Pendant, third row, centre.
I couldn't stay away for long, could I?!
Just thought you might like to see these lovely etsy Treasuries that I discovered I was featured in yesterday. Aren't they lovely? I'm loving the cranberry and sage colour combination of Caladonia March's selection, and Barnacle Beau's is a whole lot of fun, isn't it?
I also discovered that I'd been lucky enough to win a blog giveaway, too, yesterday - I'll show you when I receive it...can't wait! I never get parcels in the post, so that's really exciting!!
Finally, when I checked my emails this morning, I found out that I've been featured on another blog, Life Through Art Foundation. I'm really impressed actually, with how nice my products look! Funny how you view them differently when they're somewhere new, somewhere where you don't expect to see them! It's a lovely feature, so thank you, Terisa xx.

Old Friends

What a strange, or rather 'nostalgic' few days I've just had! On Friday, we all piled round to my parents' house to meet my cousin and his wife, who we haven't seen for about nine years. They're over in the UK having a little holiday, travelling around and seeing family and old friends - they live in Germany at the moment. Lovely to see them again after all this time!
The weekend arrived, and with it saw a good friend of ours pop in for a couple of days' sojourn here - a bit of cycling through the forest in the rain (what's happened to the summer lately?) with eldest, and he would have been a helpful hand peeling some more tipi poles with ye olde woodcutter, had rain not stopped their play! *woodcutter objects to the word 'play'.....why??!
Yesterday was the strangest, and loveliest day of all - I met up with an old friend that I haven't seen for...well, we reckon it's probably about 15 years now. Fifteen years?! Crumbs. It was terrific to see him again, a great way to spend the day, and wonderful to be in touch again after all this time.

I think that explains why I'm rather lacking in any work to show you - but I did notice today that I've been featured in another treasury on etsy...thank you, snappingtwig, for including me in 'crisp' - your zingy, summery selection! Where am I? That's me...second row down from the top, on the right - my Faint Hearted Pendant, looking a bit like a bowlful of strawberries in this collection!

I'm In A Treasury Again!

Ooh..thank you to knittydirtygirl for featuring me in her Tranquil Spell treasury, etsy. I love this shade of blue, and it's quite an eclectic mix, don't you think?

Have you spotted 'me' yet? Yes - there I am, bottom left...the Midsummer Collar. This treasury really brings out the little bit of blue on it.

If you haven't done so already, do spend a few minutes dipping into the treasury lists. There's so much to see - and there are so many more than those that make it to the front page. Buy handmade!!

Just a Minute ..... in July

Running.......home from school, all set for the summer holidays. My favourite day.

Discovering......this amazing book, The Art of Embroidery by Francoise Tellier-Loumagne.

Surprising...... myself, to see that I'm in another Treasury. Thank you, Liane (enhabiten: http://www.enhabiten.etsy.com/)

Speculating.....on the whereabouts of the crock of gold: surely it's just there - at the end of our garden??!

Bringing....the glorious outdoor sunshine inside.

Learning.... to become a very modern girl (unlike her mum! Don't grow up afraid of a computer!)
Thank you to August Street Blog(http://www.august-street.blogspot.com/) for this inspiring meme. Do you want to join in with 'Just a Minute...', once a month? Pop over to her blog and let her know.
