The Finished Article

A little behind the times (for all of you flickr folk who're privvy to this already), but here's the now completed brooch that thinks it's a sea anemone. See what I mean?!

Other business...well, I am just about to commence work on the best custom order ever - a juicily large collar, bedecked with masses and masses of black and silver fabrics and braids, with a dash of lime and a hint of purple.

Sorry, folks - you'll have to excuse me, 'cos I'm in heaven right now...!

TUESDAY!! Sparkly Bits and Miniscule French Knots

New into my DaWanda shop is Cybilla - a brooch of machine felted textile fabric, embellished a bit here and there with some pretty, sparkly glass beads.
If you look really, really....closely, you'll see just a few weeny little french knots embroidering the humpy bit of throwster's silk at the top there.

I love the effect that organza has when you felt through it. It breaks up beautifully into sparkly fibres that twinkle in the light...yum!

*Apologies for the poor pic - in a rush...hurry, hurry, hurry!

A little something for my DaWanda shop - a Forest Treasures leaf brooch. I'm toying with the possibility of segueing into earrings, and I had a bit of a yen to seek out some cuff-link blanks and try my hand at those...but the woodcutter in the family reliably (apparently) informs me that 'there isn't a call for those things these days!'. That would explain why the gift I gave him on the eve of our wedding has never witnessed the light of day since. Mind you, they are decorated with a bride and groom...
